Method 1:

Connect the WD Easystore drive to your Mac device and turn on the power.
Click the Disk Utility icon from the Dock. Otherwise, type disk utility in the Spotlight search section and double-click on it to open Disk Utility.
If you can’t find Disk Utility, go to the Applications folder and select the Utilities option. Then, select the Disk Utility folder.
Select the External hard drive and click the Erase icon. Otherwise, right-click on the WD Easystore drive and select the Erase option from the displayed list.
When prompted for confirmation, select the Format as “Mac OS Extended” option from the list. Enter a name and give a size for the WD Easystore drive. Click on the Erase button.

Select your drive and click the Partition tab.

Select the GUID Partition Table to choose a partition scheme and select OK.
