Steps to enable Dashboard Cloud Access

  • First, check if you have the WD Sync software installed on your Mac system.
  • If not, download it from your WD My Cloud web account.
  • To do that, sign in to your My Cloud web account, click the account icon, and select the Get WD Sync option.
  • Now, the WD Sync software installation begins on your Mac system.
  • Once the WD Sync application is installed, launch it.
  • Before beginning the synchronization, locate the Dropbox folder on your Mac system.
  • Make sure that the My Cloud folder is already available on your Mac system.
  • If you paste anything inside the My Cloud folder, then it will be automatically synchronized with the WD device.
  • On the WD Sync screen, click the WD icon followed by the Settings option.
  • Now, the WD Sync Settings dialog box will appear on the screen.
  • You can find folders sync with your WD My Cloud account.
  • Locate and click the Add button on the WD Sync Settings dialog box.
  • Now, the list of folders, including local folders created on your Mac system, will be displayed.
  • Locate and select the Dropbox folder from the displayed folders list.
  • Click the Save Changes button.
  • Now, the Dropbox folder will be automatically synchronized on your WD My Cloud account.
