Steps for Running Programs On WD My Passport Wireless Pro

Western Digital My Passport Wireless Pro is a portable storage device that allows you to store all kinds of data on it. No internet connection is required to access this storage device. You can access this storage device using the My Cloud app from your desktop, laptop, or mobile device. Running Programs On My Passport Wireless Pro

Before you start, check if you have configured your WD My Passport device. 

  • Press the Power button of the My Passport device to turn it ON.
  • The device will boots up completely in 30 seconds.
  • In the meantime, download and install the My Cloud app on your iPhone device.
  • After installing the app, open the iPhone Settings page.
  • Go to the Wi-Fi Settings section.
  • Look for your My Passport’s network and tap on it. Generally, the My Passport network is generated automatically by itself.
  • Now, enter your My Passport’s password (refer to the quick start guide) in the given field.
  • Once both the devices get connected to the same network, open the My Cloud app on your device and start accessing the desired media files.

Moving data from an SD Card to your WD My Passport Wireless pro

  • First, in your drive’s SD Card Slot, insert the SD card containing the media files that you want to move or run.
  • Second, open the My Passport Wireless Pro Dashboard on your computer.
  • Open the Media page by clicking the Media icon.
  • Scroll down to the SD Card section.
  • Select the Copy New or Copy All option in the Import Mode field. 
  • Perform the on-screen instructions to run the desired media files.
