The WD Easystore drive kit has the following components.

• To get high performance and reliability, you have to install the latest updates. To do so, navigate to the Start menu on the Windows 10 computer and choose the Windows Update option.
• Check if the Windows 10 computer is turned on.
• Use the USB 3.0 cable to establish a connection between the WD desktop hard drive and the Windows 10 computer.
• Check if the computer recognizes the drive and shows it in the File Management Utility list.
• Install the WD Discovery software on the Windows 10 computer.
• This itself will install the WD Backup and WD Drive Utilities software automatically.

WD Discovery:

Backup Files:

• Launch the main interface of the WD Backup software.
• Select the WD Easystore Windows 10 desktop hard drive and click the Next option in the ‘Select your WD storage device or cloud service’ window.
• This will open the WD Backup dialog window and show the Setup Completed message on the screen.
• Go to the Automatic Backups field and click the Edit Schedule option.
• Select the radio button next to the Hourly, Daily, or Monthly option and enable the day checkbox.
• Choose your desired time from the At drop-down menu and click the OK button in the Automatic Backup Schedule window.
• Navigate to the Include Files field and click the Edit Files button.
• Provide the correct information and then save the settings.
• Check once if the information entered are correct.
• Select the Start Backup option and exit the Setup Complete dialog box.
• Now, the WD Backup software backs up the data automatically as per the schedule.

Cloud Service Account:

• Go to the WD Backup software, choose your WD storage device or cloud service, and click the Dropbox icon.
• Click the Next option, followed by the Sign In option.
• Enter the WD EasyStore Windows 10 Dropbox account’s email address and password. Then, select the Sign In option, followed by the Allow option.
• Check if the Success message appears on the screen.
• If so, it indicates that you can access the Dropbox account from the WD Backup software.
• In the Dropbox Connection dialog box, click the Finish option.
