  • So, first of all, make sure that your WD Elements is connected securely to the Mac computer.
  • If not, unplug the WD Elements device from your Mac computer.
  • Reboot your Mac computer and again, connect your WD Elements device to it.
  • If your WD Elements is not displayed under the Devices section, then there is a chance for it to be in the Finder or Disk Utility window.

  • Open the Finder application on your Mac computer.
  • Click the Preferences option.
  • In the Preferences window, click the General tab.
  • Tick the checkbox beside the External disks option.
  • Now, go to the Devices section.
  • Check if the WD Elements device is displayed under the External disks section.
  • If not displayed, repair your WD drive with the First Aid feature.
  • To do it, open the Disk Utility window on your Mac computer.
  • Select your WD Elements device and click the First Aid button.
  • Wait for the first aid process to complete.
  • After that, check if the WD Elements not showing up on Mac issue has been resolved.
