The WD general network 416 error occurs when you try to upload your data to the WD hard drive using the WD My Cloud application.

Step 1 - Deleting the WD My Cloud application

  • If you want to check if the WD My Cloud drive’s firmware is updated, select the Firmware option.
  • The ‘Your firmware is up to date’ message will appear on the screen if the firmware of the WD My Cloud drive is up-to-date.
  • Close the Update Firmware dialog box by clicking the OK button.

Step 2 - Reinstalling the WD My Cloud application Android:

  • Go to the Play Store on your Android mobile phone.
  • Navigate to the search column, type WD My Cloud, and select the WD My Cloud application from the search result.
  • After you tap the Install option, the WD My Cloud application will be installed on your Android mobile phone.

iPhone:

  • On the iPhone, go to the App Store application and search for the WD My Cloud application.
  • Tap the Get option below the WD My Cloud application.
  • Now, the WD My Cloud application gets downloaded on the iPhone.
  • Now, check if the WD general network 416 problem has been resolved.
