Disable & Enable the Cloud Access

  • After connecting the WD device and your computer to the router, open the My Cloud login page on the web browser window on your computer.
  • Sign in to the My Cloud account and enter the dashboard.
  • Click the Settings tab and select the General menu from the left navigation pane.
  • Go to the Cloud Access division and click the toggle button beside Cloud Service to turn the Cloud Access off.
  • After a few minutes, click the button again to turn on the service.

Verify the Remote Access settings

  • In the Cloud Access section, enable the Dashboard Cloud Access by clicking the toggle button.
  • Under Settings, go to the Network section and navigate to the Port Forwarding division.
  • Click the Add button and then choose Select the default service scan to set the default settings.
  • Else, modify the port forwarding settings manually.

Shutdown and restart the WD device

  • Select the Utilities menu in the Settings panel and navigate to the Device Maintenance menu.
  • Click the Shutdown button to turn off the WD My Cloud device.
