Wd My Cloud Google Drive Backup

The Google drive is an easy option to backup data to the Drive using the Wd My Cloud Google Drive Backup, sync the files from the computer or external storage device, and manage the data stored.

Download & Install Google Drive:

  • Visit the official Google drive download website on your web browser.
  • Click the Download Drive drop-down button and choose the device system on which you are installing the Google drive.
  • A pop-up window appears on the screen, click the Accept and Install button to agree to the Drive’s terms and policies.
  • Now, the Google Drive software downloads on the system, after which you have to open the software file to run the installation.
  • If the system prompts to confirm the installation, select the Run button to start installing.
  • Then, close the browser window and wait till the Wd My Cloud Google Drive Backup installation is complete.

Before backing up, connect the WD My Cloud drive and the computer having the Google drive to the same network.

Using Google Drive:

  • Next, open the Google Drive application on the system and select the Sign in option.
  • Enter the email address and password to sign in to the account.
  • After the Google drive account is activated, a folder is created in the C drive.
  • In the Users folder, open the folder with your name and then go to the Google Drive folder.

Sync Google Drive & WD drive:

  • On the desktop, right-click the Google Drive icon and select Preferences.
  • Click the Account tab and remove the account with which you signed in to the Google Drive by selecting Disconnect account.
  • Open the Google Drive login window, and sign in to the Drive again. 
  • Select the WD folder which you have to sync. Now the Drive starts to sync automatically after the installation of the Wd My Cloud Google Drive Backup.
