Steps to Fix WD My Cloud Keeps Falling off Network

WD My Cloud is a cloud storage device that lets you store all your digital content in one central place. To access the WD My Cloud device, you need to connect it to your wireless network.   • Initially, make sure that your Internet connection is stable.
  • Connect any other device to the same wireless network and check if there are any issues with the Internet connection.
  • Check if the blue light remains lit on WD MyCloud.
  • If yes, try restarting WD MyCloud.
  • To do so, turn off your WD MyCloud device.
  • Disconnect the power cable from it.
  • After a while, reconnect the power cable to the device and turn it ON.
  • Now, connect the WD MyCloud device to the wireless network and check if the issue is resolved.
  • If not, check whether your router is working properly or not.
  • Check if the sleep mode is enabled on MyCloud. 
  • If yes, disable it.
  • Open the WD MyCloud Dashboard.
  • Go to the Settings section.
  • Select General > Energy Saver.
  • Click the toggle button beside the Drive Sleep option.
  • Now, the sleep mode will be disabled.
  • Check if the MyCloud issue is resolved.
  • If not, set a static IP address for WD MyCloud on your router’s configuration page.
  • If this issue persists, then reset the device.
  • Turn off and remove the power cord from WD MyCloud.
  • Now, using a paperclip, press and hold the Reset button for at least 40 seconds.
  • Once you release the reset button, the device will start to reboot.
  • After rebooting, re-configure your device settings.
