How To Map A WD Cloud Network Drive Manually On Mac?

  • In the Finder taskbar, click the Go tab.
  • Select the Connect to Server option.
  • Now, a dialog box titled Connect to Server will open.
  • Type the smb://wdmycloud keyword in the search field.
  • Click the Connect button.
  • Select the Registered User option by clicking the radio button beside it.
  • In the Name and Password fields, enter your access credentials and click Connect.
  • Select the volume to be mapped and then click the OK button.
  • That’s it! Your Wd My Cloud has been mapped successfully.

Map WD Cloud Network Drive Automatically On Windows

  • You can perform this method using the WD Discovery software.
  • If you haven’t installed the WD Discovery software on your computer, then download and install it first.
  • Now, connect the My Cloud drive to your computer.
  • Launch the WD Discovery software and wait for the software to detect your WD drive.
  • Once it is detected, select the WD Cloud drive you want to map.
  • If the software fails to detect your drive, then click the Refresh button on it.
  • Click the Map Network Shares button in the Things To Do section.
  • Now, click No. Select the drive to be mapped followed by its letter from the drop-down menu.
