Method 3: Update The Driver For WD

  • Open the Run command with the shortcut key (Windows + R).
  • Now you have to type  devmgmt. msc in the Run command field and press the  Enter button.
  • The Device manager window will open.
  • Now scroll down the device manager window and click the  Universal Serial Bus Controllers option.
  • Perform a right-click on each of the USB drives and select the  Uninstall  button.
  • Doing this will show if the USB drives will remain unrecognized or not.
  • If it still does not show up, restart the Windows computer. All the uninstalled USB drives will be recognized again.
  • Now, the WD My Passport not accessible issue would have been fixed.
