  • Turn on the WD My Passport drive.
  • Make sure that the LED light of the drive is lit.
  • For Windows users: Llocate and click the Network icon in the notification area of your computer.
  • For Mac users: Open the System Preferences window. Click the Network option followed by Wi-Fi.
  • Now, select the My Passport (2.4 GHz)- XXXX or My Passport (5 GHz) –XXXX option.
  • Note: TCollect your MAC address and replace the four XXXX denotes the values present in the MAC address of your drivewith it.
  • On your Windows or Mac computer, open a web browser and type the URL code mentioned below based on your OS type.
  • Windows users: type http://mypassport.
  • Windows or Mac users: http://192.168.60.1
  • Mac users: http://mypassport.local
  • After entering any one of the URL code in the search field, tap Enter.
  • Now, the License Agreement screen of WD My Passport Pro wireless hard drive will appear on the screen.
  • Accept the End-User License Agreement.
  • In the window titled Automatic Import Media, enable the SD card and USB Device options and click the Next button.
  • To install Plex Media Server, tick the checkbox beside it when prompted.
  • On the Enhance Your WD Experience screen, enable the required features, and click the Next button.
  • Once you have set up the drive successfully, thea window titled That’s it will appear on the screen.
  • In the WD Dashboard, you can configure the connectivity options as per your need.
