  • Press the Power button on the hard drive’s top panel. This will power up the WD my passport wireless pro iPad hard drive.
  • The blue Wi-Fi LED must stay lit.
  • Go to your iPad and navigate to the App Store application.
  • Install the WD My Cloud application on the iPad.
  • Open the Settings application by tapping its icon, select the Wi-Fi option, and choose the My Passport network from the Network lists.
  • Return to the WD My Cloud application and select the WD My Passport Wireless Pro drive on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Go to the Wi-Fi Name field and change the network name of the drive if needed.
  • Type your password in the Create Password and Confirm Password fields correctly.
  • If required, turn on the toggle switch next to the Show Password option.
  • Tap the Save option at the bottom of the screen.
  • Now, you will see the ‘Your drive’s Wi-Fi Network is now secure’ message on the screen.
  • Go back to the Settings application, navigate to the Wi-Fi screen, and connect the iPad to the network again using the new network and password of the hard drive.
  • Navigate to the application again and tap the Continue using WD My Cloud App option.
