Western digital hard disk replacing

You can do your western digital hard disk replacement only using the warranty claim. If you do not have the warranty for your western digital hard drive, you cannot replace it even if it is damaged or broken even with using it.

First, you need to check the product’s warranty status.

  • Launch your computer or Mac.
  • Make sure you have a good working internet connection.
  • Visit the Western Digital website from the address bar.
  • You can also visit the WD page by just typing WD support.
  • You will find four tabs on the top pane of the screen namely,
  • Product Support
  • Downloads
  • Warranty & Returns
  • My Support
  • Click on the Warranty & Returns option.
  • The Warranty status window will now open in your browser.
  • Read the few instructions given above.
  • You will find three fields that are,
  • Product Type
  • Country
  • Serial Numbers
  • From the Product type menu, select the type of product you own or want to get it replaced.
  • Select your country.
  • In the serial Numbers box, enter the serial number. It will be given in the hard drive at the bottom.

  • The Sticker will be labeled starting with MDL or P/N.
  • Entering all the information about the disk will register the product for replacement.
  • You will get a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) key after doing so.
  • Go to the RMA section and enter the key given to you.
  • Once you enter the passkey, you will be redirected to an address located in your city.
  • You can wrap up your WD device carefully and send it to the address in your city.
  • The Western digital will usually take 10-15 days to process the product and replace western digital hard disk replacement with a new hard drive.
